Ausstellung «Sichtweisen»
Die Faszination, dass nichts wirklich ist wie es scheint, zieht sich als roter Faden durch die Arbeiten des Künstlers Matthias Maier. Die Realität wird von jedem unterschiedlich wahrgenommen und ist dabei selbst einem kontinuierlichen Wandel unterworfen. Zum Ausdruck dieser Erkenntnis bedient sich Matthias Maier der Malerei und der Fotografie, der Cyanotypie, sowie dem Sieb- und Digitaldruck.
Stillleben, Landschaften, Motive aus Flora und Fauna laden dazu ein, sich unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen zu öffnen und toleranter damit umzugehen.
Die Ausstellung findet von Mittwoch, 29. Mai 2024 bis Sonntag, 27. Oktober 2024 im Seniorenzentrum Rosengarten in Laufen BL statt.
Ausgestellt sind sämtliche Arbeiten der letzten Jahre, unter anderem die Stillen Leben, die Alpinen Landschaften und diverse andere Werke, die bisher noch nicht gezeigt wurden.
Laufen ist von Basel aus mit dem Auto in 30 Minuten erreichbar oder ab Bahnhof SBB mit der S3 in Richtung Porrentruy in 25 Minuten. Fussweg zum Seniorenzentrum ca. 350m.

Exhibition “Points of View”
The fascination that nothing is really as it seems is a recurring theme in the work of artist Matthias Maier. Reality is perceived differently by everyone and is itself subject to continuous change. To express this realization, Matthias Maier uses painting and photography, cyanotype, as well as screen and digital printing.
Still lifes, landscapes, motifs from flora and fauna invite us to open up to different perspectives and to deal with them in a more tolerant way.
The exhibition will take place from Wednesday, May 29, 2024 to Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Seniorenzentrum Rosengarten in Laufen BL.
On display are works from recent years, including Still Lives, Alpine Landscapes and various other works that have not yet been shown.
Laufen can be reached from Basel by car in 30 minutes or from the SBB train station with the S3 in the direction of Porrentruy in 25 minutes. Walking distance to the senior center approx. 350m.

Review October
I don’t know why, but I have never been a big friend of October. October definitely separates summer from winter, light from dark, warm from cold. Though this October was a bit different.
