Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between constructed images and painterly intervention.
Starting from photographic source material, I transfer fragments of reality onto paper and deliberately interrupt them through layers of acrylic paint, drawing, and structural elements.

I am interested in moments where clarity and disruption coexist — where recognizable motifs drawn from natural and built environments begin to shift through abstraction, repetition, and reduction. Grids, color fields, and graphic structures function not as decorative elements, but as tools to reframe perception and alter spatial relationships.

The works oscillate between control and intuition, precision and openness. Rather than illustrating narratives, they propose a space of tension in which image, surface, and gesture remain in a state of balance.
