An update to my website didn’t go as expected and I was busy fixing the errors for days.
Never change a running system is an old piece of IT wisdom. Nevertheless, certain updates are necessary from time to time to ensure security and to keep pace with constantly advancing technical developments. I love my website and it is crucial to my work. I always have certain ideas about how the individual pages should look. Maintaining my own website also helps me to stay in practice and refresh my knowledge from time to time in order to be fit for the creation of my clients’ websites, which I also manage.
Ignoring advice can be painful
The detailed deviations from the standard theme that I use became my downfall in this major update and after I had carried it out, almost all pages were displayed incorrectly. Even today, as I write this weekly review, not all errors have been fixed, but at least roughly, the whole thing looks almost like it used to. So this week I spent every free minute on my computer and hardly any time outdoors or in the city.

My New York City gallery space
One of the best moments of the week was the arrival of my picture frames, which I imported from Germany. I was finally able to frame the artworks that I had already sent to New York at the end of December and open my small permanent exhibition in New York City. As of now, it can be seen in the Nomad district at 31 E 31st Street in the Unico showroom. I am very happy about the collaboration with Unico and the successful combination of furniture and art.

Winter reloaded
The week, like most during this stay, was characterized by freezing temperatures and sunny winter weather. The cold was exacerbated even more by a continual cold snap. Nevertheless, I didn’t let it stop me from jogging in Central Park to at least clear my head a little. The snowy landscape and frozen ponds inspired me to take a few photos.
